Basic history

Basic Tools is a Norwegian product developed by a company called KAMV AS located at Disenå in Sør-Odal, Norway. KAMV has extensive toolmaking experience having manufactured tools since 1947. Under its previous name SOS-Rescue tools, Basic Tools has been manufactured by KAMV since 1995.

Today KAMV is owned and managed by Trond Bråten who has been working as the master toolmaker in KAMV since 1980.

Our mission is to consistently make Basic Tools smarter, stronger, better and lighter so that we can continue to make your life easier
